Plain and binding.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of forge.adventurecoin.quest and everything served from it — the website, the browser wallet, the forge lockup feature, the block explorer and the public API (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by the AdventureCoin Forge team ("we", "us").

By using the Service — including by creating or restoring a wallet, or opening a lockup — you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

The Service is an interface to the public AdventureCoin (ADVC) blockchain. It lets you generate and use a wallet inside your own browser, view the chain, and lock ADVC into time-locked scripts that the network enforces. We do not operate the AdventureCoin network, we do not control it, and we cannot reverse, alter or cancel any transaction once it has been broadcast.

We are not a bank, exchange, broker, custodian, money transmitter or financial adviser. We do not hold, pool, lend or manage your coins, and we do not offer deposits, interest or any investment product.

3. Your keys, your coin

The wallet is non-custodial. Your twelve-word recovery phrase is generated in your browser and stored there, encrypted with a passphrase only you know. It is never sent to us and we never see it. That means:

• You are solely responsible for writing down and safely storing your recovery phrase and passphrase.
• If you lose them, or clear your browser data without a backup, your coins are gone. We cannot reset, restore or recover them — there is nothing on our side to recover.
• Anyone who obtains your recovery phrase can take your coins. We will never ask you for it. Anyone who does is attempting to steal from you.
• You are responsible for the security of the device and browser you use.
• You are responsible for checking every address and amount before you send. Transactions are final.

4. Lockups

A lockup sends ADVC to a script on the blockchain that can only be spent by your key, and only after the unlock time you chose (30, 90, 180 or 365 days). This is enforced by every node on the network, not by us.

• A lockup is irreversible. There is no early withdrawal, no cancellation and no override — not by you, and not by us, under any circumstances, including emergencies or mistakes.
• Unlock times are measured by the network's own clock (median time past), which can trail real time by about an hour.
• When the term ends, you must redeem the coins yourself with your key. The coins do not move back automatically.
• You can redeem a matured lockup with your recovery phrase from any compatible node, even if this site no longer exists.
• Network fees apply to opening and redeeming a lockup and are not refundable.

5. Rewards

While your coins are locked, the forge may share with lockups a portion of what its mining pool actually earns, weighted by amount, time locked and your term's multiplier. Rewards are a discretionary distribution of real mining income, not interest and not a return on an investment.

• Rewards are variable and not guaranteed. They depend on mining income, network difficulty and the number of other lockups, and may be zero.
• Earned rewards must be claimed by you. Displayed amounts are estimates until they are paid on chain.
• We may change, pause or end the reward program, its multipliers or its payout schedule at any time. This never affects your locked principal, which is controlled only by the chain and your key.
• You are responsible for any taxes that apply to rewards or other transactions in your jurisdiction.

6. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if:

• you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if higher;
• using it is legal in your jurisdiction — it is your responsibility to check;
• you are not a person or entity subject to sanctions, and not located in a sanctioned country or region.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions evasion or any other unlawful purpose;
• attack, overload, probe or disrupt the Service, its servers or the API, or try to bypass any limit or security measure;
• attempt to obtain rewards you are not entitled to, including by exploiting a bug — report bugs to us instead;
• impersonate us, or copy this site to deceive people into revealing their recovery phrase.

We may block access to the Service, or to reward payouts, where we reasonably believe these Terms are being broken. We can never touch coins held by your key.

8. Risk notice

Cryptocurrency carries serious risk. By using the Service you understand and accept that:

• the value of ADVC can fall sharply or to zero, and it may be hard or impossible to sell — especially while locked;
• markets for ADVC may be thin, and prices shown are for information only;
• software can contain bugs, including in the wallet, the forge or the AdventureCoin node software, and these can lead to loss;
• blockchains can suffer forks, reorganisations, 51% attacks or changes by their developers;
• laws and regulation around cryptocurrency can change and may affect your ability to use it;
• loss or theft of your recovery phrase, or malware on your device, can cause permanent loss.

Only commit what you can afford to lose and to have locked for the full term. Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice.

9. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that data shown (balances, rewards, prices, explorer data) is accurate or current, or that any reward will be paid.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of coins, profits, data or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — including losses caused by lost recovery phrases, user error, network behaviour, bugs, third-party services or the irreversibility of lockups.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of the rewards actually paid to you through the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of the Service.

11. Third parties

The Service relies on and links to things we do not control, including the AdventureCoin network and its node software, public AdventureCoin APIs, Google Fonts and a QR-code service in the explorer. We are not responsible for them. See the Privacy Policy for what each one receives.

12. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. If the site goes away, your coins do not — they stay on the chain under your key, and matured lockups can be redeemed with your recovery phrase through any compatible node.

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.

Questions about these Terms can be raised through the official AdventureCoin community channels listed at adventurecoin.quest. We will never contact you first asking for your recovery phrase or passphrase.
